What we help homeowners with

Water damage cleanup, drying, and protection against mold.

Right now, we focus on one thing and do it well: water damage mitigation. No confusing sales pitches, no unnecessary reconstruction — just clean, documented drying and honest guidance. If water has touched your floors, walls, or ceilings in the last 72 hours, this is the stage we help with.

Clean water leaks

Supply line breaks, failed valves, overflowing tubs, and appliance leaks.

  • Dishwasher, fridge, and washing machine leaks
  • Toilet tank & supply line failures (clean water)
  • Busted pipes inside walls, ceilings, or crawlspaces

Emergency water extraction

Remove standing water quickly to reduce damage to floors, walls, and contents.

  • Portable extraction for carpets and hard floors
  • Targeted demo only when truly needed
  • Moisture readings before, during, and after

Drying & dehumidification

Professional-grade equipment to fully dry affected areas and reduce mold risk.

  • Air movers and dehumidifiers sized to your space
  • Daily monitoring and documented moisture logs
  • Careful placement to minimize disruption

Light sanitizing & odor control

Clean, safe, and simple — no heavy chemicals unless absolutely necessary.

  • Targeted antimicrobial where appropriate
  • Basic odor control post-drying
  • Recommendations if deeper remediation is needed

Future add-ons: mold, sewage, structural drying

Thermal imaging & moisture detection

On select jobs, we use thermal imaging and moisture meters to help spot hidden damp areas behind walls, ceilings, and floors — places your eyes can’t always see.

  • Helps find hidden moisture without tearing everything open
  • Supports more accurate dry-out plans
  • Creates better documentation for insurance and peace of mind

Process

Simple, transparent, and documented from the first call.

We treat your home like an investment: clean documentation, clear communication, and no surprises. Here’s what happens when you call Stratus One Restoration.

1

Call us & share what happened

We’ll ask a few quick questions about where the water is, how long it’s been there, and whether it’s still flowing.

2

On-site assessment & stop the source

We inspect affected areas, shut off or stabilize the source if needed, and outline a clear plan with you before work starts.

3

Extraction, drying & monitoring

We remove standing water, set up drying equipment, and return daily to document progress until moisture levels are normal.

4

Final documentation for you & your insurer

You receive photos, readings, and a clear summary of what was done — making insurance conversations easier.

What we don’t do (on purpose)

We keep things clean and conflict-free:

  • No high-pressure reconstruction sales
  • No taking jobs we’re not a great fit for
  • No cutting corners on safety or documentation

If your job requires a different specialist, we’ll tell you clearly and help point you in the right direction. Long-term trust > short-term revenue.

Why homeowners choose us

A small, local company built for doing it the right way.

Stratus One Restoration is intentionally lean: owner-led, locally focused, and built around clear communication. That means you get fast response, careful work, and straight answers — without the franchise sales machine.

Owner-led, not franchise-scripted

You’re dealing with a local owner who understands homes, real estate, and risk — not a call center three states away. If we wouldn’t do it in our own home, we won’t do it in yours.

Mitigation-first, not upsell-first

Our job is to stabilize, dry, and document. We’re happy to refer trusted plumbers or contractors when needed, but we don’t push unnecessary add-ons or scare tactics.

Clean, documented work

We take photos, moisture readings, and detailed notes so you have a clear paper trail if you’re working with insurance — or simply want peace of mind for resale.

Respect for your time and space

We understand that you’re dealing with stress. That’s why we show up when we say we will, keep things as tidy as possible, and communicate clearly at every step.

Standard we aim for

The experience we want every homeowner to have.

Real homeowner reviews are coming as we complete more projects. Until then, this is the level of service Stratus One Restoration is built around.

“Shows up fast, explains everything clearly, and makes a stressful situation feel manageable.”

Goal for every emergency call

“Honest about what actually needs to be done — no pressure, no surprise add-ons.”

How we approach scope & pricing

“Keeps things tidy, respects your time, and documents everything for insurance.”

What we want you to remember afterward

Owner of Stratus One Restoration, John

Meet John, the owner behind Stratus One Restoration.

Hi, I’m John. I’ve spent years around homes, real estate, and construction — and I’ve seen how stressful water damage can be for homeowners. Too often, people feel rushed, sold to, or left in the dark about what’s actually happening.

I started Stratus One Restoration to be the opposite of that. My promise is simple: show up fast, be honest, do clean and well-documented work, and never pressure you into something you don’t need.

When you call, there’s a good chance you’ll talk to me directly. I’ll walk you through what’s happening, what truly needs to be done, and what you can safely say no to.

Service Area

Proudly serving Seattle and nearby communities.

  • North of Seattle: Shoreline & Lake Forest Park.
  • South of Seattle: Burien, White Center, SeaTac, Tukwila & Renton.

Common questions

In an active water emergency, stopping the water and starting dry-out is priority one. In most cases, you can open a claim afterward using our photos, readings, and notes.

Yes — we’re happy to coordinate so everyone stays in their lane. Plumbers stop the leak, we handle mitigation and drying, and contractors can step in later for rebuild if needed.

We’ll tell you early and clearly. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so and, when possible, help point you toward someone better suited. No pressure, no hard feelings.
